RAAM's Shadow is the second installment of downloadable content for Gears of War 3. The pack features a three-hour campaign set before the original Gears of War, following the exploits of Zeta Squad (Michael Barrick, Minh Young Kim, Tai Kaliso, and Alicia Valera), and also contains six multiplayer character skins, one weapon skin set (Chocolate) and additional achievements worth 250 Gamerscore.

Fenix Rising is the third installment of downloadable content for Gears of War 3. Fenix Rising contains five multiplayer maps (Academy, Anvil, Depths, Escalation, and The Slab), four character skins (Recruit Clayton, Thrashball Cole, Savage Marauder, and Savage Kantus), three unlockable weapon skin sets (Re-Up Plasma, Re-Up Omen, and Re-Up Electric), and a new "Re-Up" system for multiplayer that allows players to rank up through level 100 multiple times to unlock exclusive emblems and weapon skins.

Forces of Nature is a DLC installment for Gears of War 3 that was released on March 27, 2012 for 800 Microsoft Points. Based around weather and natural disasters, the Forces of Nature DLC packs five more maps, four additional characters, seven new weapon skin sets, and the introduction of "Elemental Cleavers"; Easter-egg weapons that are hidden on Horde playthroughs on Forces maps that each have a different elemental property. Finally, after examining community feedback, a classic Gears of War 2-era gametype, Guardian, is making a comeback.
